It’s very easy today to create a brand, a logo, or even just a design. There are tools out there like Canva that allow anyone to create artwork that can be used in multiple platforms and mediums. The hard part is to keep it consistent throughout the year.
One of my approaches for my personal brand and for my customers is that every start of the year we create a very small strategy so we can keep the brand consistent.
The following suggestions are all optional, is up to you to use whatever you feel you may be missing. Let’s then start with the goals, what are you yours?
- Consistant Profile Picture
- Consistant Cover Image
- Consistant Watermarks
- Consistant Keywords
- Consistant Frames
- Consistant About and Descriptions
I always keep my brand Airtable base up to date, if not this is the right time to update it:
This base is where I usually go to quickly copy-paste any information I need. I like to use it in Airtable because I’ll keep it online and is very easy to extend.
The base is composed of the following sections:
- Short About
After you fill all the tabs you are ready to start updating your social media accounts, cover images, and more.
In my case, I have a profile picture for the sizer: 1024×1024, 512×512, and 256×256 in my desktop devices so I am very quick to add them. Design-wise you can choose just a solid color like me or follow the new design trends for 2022 or even use a variant of the Pantone of the year. Nanometer what the important part is to keep it fresh, otherwise it will look old. Never forget to update your gravatar images.
For Keywords, you may use any tool, but again, you should review the new trends of the year, remove the keywords that you think didn’t bring any business or are just not of your interest to.
